Armed with a stylish new pair of fabled Seven League Boots, purchased at the shop below his flat, detective P.T. Lyfantod and his mostly unwilling accomplice, Calder O'Dwyer, embark on a complaint-riddled jaunt across the city in search of the lost head of the giant King Bran. The Duty Free Shop
What does it mean to be free?
Is it even possible when you're born saddled with a debt it takes a lifetime to pay? This is the question the citizens of Sky City, the techno-metropolis floating over the ruins of Tokyo, must not ask too loudly or too often. And if freedom itself is out of reach, is there a suitable alternative?
For some, like the blue suits of Sky Corp levying their perpetual tax, the answer is power — however illusory, however incomplete. Better to be one of the oppressors than one of the oppressed.
For others, the answer is lying flat. Opting out entirely, at the cost of everything society has to offer. For ones such as these, the Duty Free Shop is the last and only stop. A haven for those who can't afford to pay, as well as those who refuse to.
And for Duo, living as a ghost down in the city's mechanical innards, the question doesn't bear thinking on. He's not interested in anything but his next meal and the next rerun of his favorite show. Sky City has no hold on him. But Duo has a debt of his own, and its repayment is long in coming.
Tonight, the man he owes his life to, a vicious Undercity gangster, is sending him topside, in search of the Duty Free and an idealistic politician he hopes can be corrupted. And as Duo steals through the city's airy streets, he finds the question of freedom — his own, and that of those around him — is one that he can no longer afford to ignore.

Winded - The Hunger of the Beast
Fenn Farrow longs for adventure. But after sneaking away from her quiet home in the back of a Gnomish tinker's wagon, she finds adventure more than she bargained for.
Tinker, wagon, and any hope of turning back vanish in a violent storm out on the aptly named Windy Plains, and after three harrowing days wandering the arid landscape, hunger and thirst consume her.
She awakens, disoriented and confused, in a city she's never heard of, with no recollection of how she got there. And while all Fenn wants is to go home, the citizens of Yarde—home of the Duke and his prize turnip—are on high alert.
The Beast is afoot. And it's devouring everything it can find. The townsfolk are terrified. No one knows what—or who—will be next.
For the first time in her short life, Fenn longs for the safety and comfort of her forest home, her mother, her noisy brothers. But if she’s to get back, she’ll have to survive long enough to figure out where home is.

P.T. Lyfantod & the Court of Frogs
P.T. Lyfantod is a man with more occupations than he knows what to do with. He's a detective, a bard (the musically magical sort), and he's got a very strong hunch that he may just be the latest in a long line of royal faerie frogs—you know, like the ones in the stories. But he can't know for sure, because he's never met his father.
As such things go, this is probably a good sign.
When he learns there's to be a council for peace between the two halves of the long-divided Court of Frogs, Lyfantod sees what may be his only chance—to learn the truth, to bond with or confront his father depending on how things go, to find out whether he possesses the latent ability to shapeshift and what size of frog he'd be if he does (he's hoping for hill-sized).
Together with his loyal but prickly companion, Calder O'Dwyer, nutritionist for the aged, Lyfantod sets off into Rannoch Moor in the remote regions of the Scottish Highlands on a heroic journey of self-discovery. What he finds there may just change him forever. At least, that's what he's hoping.
